A recent show I did consisting mainly of Electronica, some of it from the Kompakt label (Gui Boratto, Lawrence), a great track from the unheralded Mikael Stavostrand, some perfect guitar-pop from French scene-makers Phoenix, a few highlights from the soundtrack to’ ‘In the mood for love” and mind-blowing 60’s experimentalism from Terry Riley coupled with Gallic anguish from Jacques Brel to draw an end to proceedings. I was quite happy with how this show turned out to say the least.
