The show starts with a forgotten classic by Dorothy Prince, then OC’S finest hour followed by a track off ‘Wu Tang Forever’. The underrated Bobby Timmons gets a couple of plays, his album ‘This here’ has some great snappy, light trio jazz including the title track and his original ‘Moanin’ which he made famous while with Art Blakey’s constantly changing Jazz Messengers. I close out the show with a couple of great tracks from the oft-forgotten (there’s a theme emerging) Sweet Inspirations and a really great example of Southern Soul from the legendary Eddie Floyd.
